Lance and Laurie's Wedding!

Well, the first of the Grace Church 06 graduates got married on Saturday. It's so weird to think back on the years of growing up with Lance during Awana, VBS, Junior Day Camp, Jr High and HS group. I would have never have picked Lance to be the first one married, but I also would never have expected the things he would go through post-graduation that would mature him into the man he is now. You can read their story at lanceandlaurie.com. Its a pretty awesome one. You can tell through their story and through everything said at their wedding that God had a strong hand in bringing these two together. He is the center of their lives, and will be the center of their marriage. While at first I thought: "She's only 19!!!," it was easy to see that this was all in God's perfect plan, they are made for each other, and they will have an awesome marriage together. Their photographer, Kate Noelle, was fantastic, and really on top of things! You can already find a collection of their wedding photos on her blog at katenoelleblog.com/ Look at how fabulous these two are!

Another amazing thing about this wedding, was that it was a wonderful reunion of the Class of 06. Here is a pic of all the 06 girls, along with two lovely new additions, Amanda and Chelsea, girlfriends of Andy and David.

A great new find

One great thing about living in a house full of girls is all the things you get to share. Especially when it comes to the kitchen. The other day, my eyes were opened to the world of the pineapple cutter. This amazing contraption peels, slices and cores your pineapple, and you are left with a perfect spiral ring of pineapple goodness.

My days of slaving over a pineapple with a knife and cutting board to get to the golden insides are gone.

Body Shop Party

About a year ago, I went to a Body Shop makeover party. We got all dolled up, and a photographer took our pictures. Here are the photos. Courtesy of Michelle Warren Photography.

Pillow Fight Club

Since 7th grade, I've wanted to be in the Fall Forward band. Since almost as long, I've wanted to be in a Fall Forward Film. Both dreams came true this year. I was a member of the band "Flapjack and the Happy Campers."

Also, I "starred" in this film. Check it out.

My new Home Sweet Home

I am now officially a resident of this lovely home in La Mirada.

But, as the shuffle between summer residents and fall/spring residents is crazy (and was not well organized), I am, at the moment, a floating resident. My things have found a spot in a room that is currently vacant. These roommates should arrive on Saturday, which is also the day that the summer residents leave my room. After a bit of shuffling, I hope to be settled in my new abode by the end of this weekend.

After moving into my new room, the fun begins as we try to navigate living in a small house with 9 girls. 3 nursing majors, 2 art majors, 2 English majors, 1 psych major and 1 PR major. 2 bathrooms. This is going to be a fun year. I'm excited.
