Savannah

This weekend, my mom arrived for a much needed visit and we ventured to Savannah, GA for a mini-vacation with good southern cooking and fun sightseeing.

We went on a riverboat sightseeing tour, that felt very much like Princess and the Frog. We even listened to a live jazz trumpetest. Too bad he wasn't an alligator.

Savannah is Paula Deen country. We didn't eat at The Lady & Sons, her most famous restaurant (too busy and mostly a buffet) but we did eat at her other restaurant, Uncle Bubba's Oyster House and I ate my first ever oysters. They were delicious!

I've had a lot of fun travels in Georgia, but my final day of travel is in 10 days!
